Christina Volpe, Curator of The Barnes Museum will present on Connecticut's Industrial Age. This period is regarded as the golden era of booming economies, rapid scientific and technological advancement, strict social etiquette for some, and the ushering-in of the Progressive Era, defined by years of push for social, political, and cultural reform. The Barnes Museum reflects these themes on a local and state level utilizing diary entries, art, artifacts, and technology found within the museum's collection.
