Peak Foliage Hike
The Bolton Conservation Commission will host a 2-mile, peak foliage hike on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Freja park from 10:00 -11:30 AM.
Freja Park (pronounced Fray-ya) is a beautiful 21-acre public park in the northern section of Bolton with a colorful and unfragmented forest. The Park abuts Notch Pond which drains north to Valley Falls in this rare Bolton Notch watershed. Learn about the flora and fauna in the park with Commission member hike leader and naturalist Alan Bicknell and Commission member and hike co-leader Matt Rivers.
Meet at 10AM at the Bolton Park & Ride Commuter lot across from Georgina’s Italian Restaurant, 275 Boston Turnpike, Bolton CT 06043.
Sturdy footwear recommended. Hikers may encounter some unlevel terrain with a few obstacles. New hikers and families are encouraged to join hike. No dogs please. Rain Date is Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 10 AM.
