The Town owns and maintains three parks: Freja Park, Indian Notch Park, and Herrick Park.

Freja Park
Freja Park sits on 21 acres of undeveloped land
off of Route 44 on Bolton Pond. This area is open for hiking and other similar recreational activities throughout the year.
Indian Notch Park
Indian Notch Park is located on 60 Tolland Road and contains a total of 27 acres of space. Indian Notch boasts a 300-foot sandy beachfront on Bolton Lake. Lifeguards are on duty during the day during the summer. Park amenities include: picnic tables, grills, pavilion, rest rooms, basketball court, and baseball diamond. A daily fee is charged for access. No animals or drones allowed in the park.

Herrick Park
Herrick Park is located at 29 Hebron Road. A playscape and picnic area are highlights of the park. It also has two ball fields which double as a soccer field each fall. The greatest asset of Herrick Park is the community building, which is not only used regularly by many groups during the year, but also can be rented for special occasions. There is also an outdoor basketball court and an area that is flooded in the winter for skating, and the park is open year-round.

State Parks
Bolton is also home to all or part of three State Parks:
Bolton Notch State Park
Hop River State Park Trail (A portion of which is in Bolton).
Gay City State Park (The northernmost portion is in Bolton).
