Tax bills normally received in July will be mailed out for August 1, 2021 due to the timing of budget referendums. Payment needs to be paid by September 1, 2021 to avoid interest.
A second billing may be necessary should the board of finance set the final mil rate higher than the interim mil rate after the budget passes.
If the budget passes on the July 13th referendum, the board of finance is expected to set the mil rate for this fiscal year (through June 30, 2022) that evening.
If the budget fails, again the board of finance will be setting an interim mil rate on July 13, 2021, that cannot be more than the current mil rate of 38.86.
