Registered children can read a story to Toby, a 9 year old Border Collie/Whippet mix. Toby has been a Read Therapy Dog for 8 years. He loves to listen to children read him stories. He may put his paw on your book to help you hold the page or take a little nap while he listens. When you finish, he may surprise you with a kiss to thank you! Registration is required.

Jim Matschulat, a certified Master Gardener and Advanced Gardener and member of the UConn Master Composter Program, will provide an introduction to home composting. Jim will also discuss rain barrels and compost "tea" and address your questions. Learn what's in and what's out for composting and how to use humus to enhance your soil’s structure, chemistry and biology. This program is ideal for new and experienced composters alike.
This month's selection is "The Tobacco Wives" by Adele Myers. Bring your lunch and join us for a discussion of this novel about a courageous woman, corporate greed, and the elegance and opulence of North Carolina socialites.
