PAPER SHREDDING EVENT:

The Town of Bolton will hold its annual Shredding Event – Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9 a.m. to noon at the recycling/transfer station. Residents from the Town of Bolton can bring documents for shredding to the recycling center. All rings and binders must be removed. Staples do not need to be removed. There is no limit to the quantity of documents to be shredded.

The Town of Bolton is currently accepting applications for Cemetery Maintenance Groundskeeper. This is a part-time position, 24 hours per week (4- 6 hour days) April 1st through November 30th.  Pay is $22.00 per hour and there are no benefits.  Must have mowing and trimming experience.  See below for complete job description. 

Highway Foreman/Deputy Town-Wide Facilities Director

The Town of Bolton is currently accepting applications for Highway Foreman/Deputy Town-wide Facilities Director.  This is a full-time position with benefits.  Plans, organizes, supervises and performs the construction, repair and maintenance of town roads, bridges, grounds and facilities, and provides short-term and long-range planning for the maintenance and improvement of town roads and related public work sites. Collaborates with Town-wide Facilities Director on projects and in regards to the best utilization of staff and equipment and covers for this individual in his/her absence. Salary shall start at the entry level rate which is 90%  of the job rate. (Salary will begin at $79,555 which is 90% of the beginning salary of $88,395). At the completion of the probationary period, the employee shall be compensated at 95% of the job rate. At the employees first anniversary date he/she shall be paid at the full (100%) rate of pay.

Recreation - Camp Director (Seasonal)

The Bolton Recreation department is seeking a full time camp director. This position is a nine week position with one week to prepare summer camp and eight weeks of working one on one with community members and staff of the camp. The director will work full time, creating weekly lesson plans and be sure all counselors are following the rules and regulations of the job, working with vendors on workshop and field trip days and more. The camp director will work directly under the recreation director. 

Recreation - Lifeguard (Seasonal)

The Bolton Recreation Department is seeking both full time and part time seasonal summer lifeguards. Under the direct supervision of the head lifeguard, lifeguards are responsible for the everyday safety and wellbeing of patrons at Indian Notch Lake. Lifeguards will strictly enforce all policies procedures and regulations with all patrons. Staff will work closely with other town staff on a daily basis and performs all rescues and follow up procedures including the use of follow up procedures, paper work and other available equipment. Lifeguards must have their Lifeguard certificate through Red Cross including water front. Please check the Red Cross website for dates times and locations to become certified.

Recreation -Camp Counselor (Seasonal)

The Bolton Recreation Department is seeking both full time and part time seasonal summer camp counselors. Under the direct supervision of the camp director, a Counselor is responsible for the supervision of campers, promoting and actively participating in all camp activities, providing a safe and fun learning environment, and serving as a positive role model for campers. We are seeking motivated team members who believe deeply in the organization’s mission and who display a record of achievement in effective supervision & management of youth as it pertains to this position, building positive relationships and ensuring the safety and well-being of people of all ages.

Senior Center - Program Coordinator/Administrative Assistant

The Town of Bolton is looking to hire a Program Coordinator/Administrative Assistant.  This person will help create, manage and assist in the execution of programming offered by the Town of Bolton’s Senior & Social Services department; as well as perform daily secretarial and office administrative work as assigned.

This is a 28 hour per week position. Exact hours are to be determined…but will fall somewhere Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm. Pay for this position will start at $19.34 per hour. Employees entering this position shall start at the entry level rate which is 90% of the job rate. Pay will increase after the probationary period.

Senior Center Van Driver

Part-time driver needed for the Senior Center on an as needed basis.  Must possess CDL license with passenger endorsement and clean driving record.  Subject to background check.  Works under the direction of the Director of Senior and Social Services.  Operates vans for up to 20 passengers to pick up and deliver seniors and disabled adults to the Senior Center, medical appointments, shopping, errands and other events as assigned.  Positive customer service and confidentiality required.

The position is currently paid $16.82 per hour, and hours per week vary.

Water Safety Instructor (Seasonal)

The Bolton Recreation Department is seeking a part time water safety Instructor who will be responsible for conducting swim lessons for different age and skill levels. Swim lessons will take place at Indian Notch Park in Bolton. Must hold current certifications in Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instructor Training, Standard First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Experience is preferred but not required.
