Town of Bolton Employment Opportunities

Administrative Assistant (with social media and technical skills)

The Town of Bolton is currently hiring for a full-time Administrative Assistant (with social media and technical skills). This person will handle general administrative/secretarial duties along with reviewing and updating the Town's website, creating and maintaining content for, and posts to social media accounts and help with zoom meetings. This is a thirty-seven (37) hour per week position starting at $20.36 with full benefits. After successful completion of the six (6) month probation period the rate will increase.

Crewman III

The Town of Bolton is currently hiring for a Crewman III in the Highway Department.  Crewman III serves as lead mechanic; performs skilled mechanical repair work in the repair, overhaul and maintenance of town automobiles, trucks and heavy and light construction equipment. Operates and maintains heavy dump truck and heavy and light equipment used in the construction, repair and maintenance of roads, bridges, buildings, grounds and facilities.  Assumes responsibility of the Highway Supervisor in his absence.

Employees entering a new classification (Crewman III) shall start at the entry level rate, which is 75% of the job rate.  At the completion of the probationary period (6 months) the employee shall be compensated at 85% of the job rate.  At the employees first anniversary date the employee shall be compensated at 90% of the job rate; and on the employees second anniversary date he/she shall be at the full (100%) rate of pay. Starting rate of pay will be $25.46 (which is currently 75% of the entry level rate which is $33.95).

Library Substitute

The Town of Bolton is currently accepting applications for a customer service oriented Library Substitute position at the Bentley Memorial Library. This is a year round, on-call position with no regular hours. Pay will be $13.00 per hour. Applicant must be available during any of the open hours of the library. Lifeguard

The Bolton Recreation Department is seeking both full time and part time seasonal summer lifeguards. Under the direct supervision of the head lifeguard, lifeguards are responsible for the everyday safety and wellbeing of patrons at Indian Notch Lake. Lifeguards will strictly enforce all policies procedures and regulations with all patrons. Staff will work closely with other town staff on a daily basis and performs all rescues and follow up procedures including the use of follow up procedures, paper work and other available equipment. Maintainer I (Seasonal)

Seasonal Maintainer I for Buildings & Grounds department, end of June through Labor Day. Performs work in the maintenance, repair and construction of parks, grounds, recreational areas and facilities including custodial and maintenance duties. Pay rate is $14.00/ hour.
